Weakening of the pelvic floor muscles or years of habit can lead to a number of problems with uncontrolled urinary and/or fecal leakage .
Incontinence is often treatable with conservative therapies which can postpone and even prevent the need for invasive or surgical procedures. At CoreBalance Therapy LLC we are specially trained to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal causes of urinary incontinence. In addition to exercises for the muscles around the bladder and rectal openings, biofeedback and/or electrical stimulation may be used to improve the quality and awareness of the muscle contraction. Special weights may also be used to further increase strength in the muscles.
